It takes two!

I finally had my first shoot with twins! I wasn't sure at all what to expect, or how the organization of the shoot was going to go. I have worked with lots of babies, but never two at the same time! These two little troopers did an awesome job and I loved spending time with them. It was amazing to see how different their personalities were, and how it affected their interactions with each other and everyone else! I used to think that's how I wanted to do it. A boy and girl at the same time! After seeing how busy they kept their amazing mamma, I will say God knew best when he gave me just one as a starter!!! Not sure if I could have kept up nearly as well as their mommy does! Double the laughs, love, fun and trouble! Meet the adorable, unstoppable duo of Emma and Aiden!

Brilliant Sky

I was supposed to be at the balloon fest to get pictures of the balloons this weekend. But of course they didn't seem to want to float my way, it had been that kind of day! I was starting to get a little disappointed but that quickly changed when the skies turned orange! I snuck away to pick up my camera and was met with one amazing view! I think most would agree Sunsets like this are pretty spectacular.

Moments

Moments. They are the little pockets of time that form the histories of our lives. How are you living yours? This entry was waiting to be published on Friday, and in the midst of a Life interruption the short story I wanted to share has taken on a whole new light.

About a week and a half ago we were going about our usual house cleaning and my husband accidently knocked my wedding bouquet off its perch. I watched in anger as a chunk of it crumbled on the floor. I will openly admit, I was really MAD! I yelled at him as I think any normal woman would. It was my precious bouquet from my wedding day and I had a right to be angry! He should have been being more careful, right?? As I was picking up the pieces my oh so symbolic poetic mind started working. Why was this bunch of dried flowers so precious to me?? The answer, was the Man that had clumsily knocked it over. Without him what would a dead bundle of flowers matter to me? After that each petal I picked up felt like a representation of the pieces of my heart. They are held together with Chad glue. Without him my life would fall to pieces.

Friday morning my Husband called me to tell me he had been in a very serious car accident. I was instantly on an emotional roller coaster. By the grace of God he walked away unharmed. Looking at the car that shouldn't have been the case. I am so overwhelmed with gratitude that he is here with me and our little boy, that I can't express it enough! I just keep thanking God for the blessing of more time. More moments.

Now maybe you can see the significance as to why this post is so meaningful. As most people know, Love and Pride cannot sit at the same table. So love harder, cherish longer, and squeeze tighter what's really important in Life. Live every moment as your last.

A BIG thank you to everyone that was there to help and support us!

Her little Man.

New Love. I adore it. All you head over heels parents out there know exactly what I am talking about! It just amazes me how a parent’s heart opens when that little bundle enters the world! This is one of the reasons why I love this job so much! I am able to preserve people’s hearts and their lives. Pictures are really one of the most priceless possessions we have next to our loved ones. That's exactly why I say, IT'S NEVER NEVER THE WRONG TIME FOR PICTURES! This little guy has defiantly stolen his families hearts, and you will hear Peggy affectionately referring to him as "my little man." A big congratulations to Joe and Peggy, he's perfect! Dad's everywhere keep a look out! You might want to put your daughters under lock and key!

Finger Fun!

As most of you know I am in LOOOVE with Thorndon Park! The list of reasons why would have to be a mile long so I will spare you, as I know lists are so boring! I was thrilled when my friend Peggy booked me for a maternity/ family photo shoot, and then more thrilled when she wanted her pictures done at Thorndon Park! The weather was super cooperative as if it knew we only had one shot to get this done right. Peggy was due for her little boy any second! I had a great time with her sweet little girls and getting to know her family better. I think it’s safe to safe they have a photographer in their future, as one of her daughters helped me take a couple photo's! Let’s just say she was an expert at directing and posing people!! After we were done with the pretty dressy pictures it was time for a little finger painting fun! The girls loved running their little hands all over Mommy's baby bump with globs of paint! It was the least we could do after they did so well in their beautiful dresses! Family pictures are timeless, so remember it's NEVER the wrong time for photo's!
