Snow and Ice walk photo outing

I have always loved the shore line bellow Fort Ontario, NY. There are huge flat rocks that make for great natural docks that climb out of the water. In the summer they are a great spot for picnics, and in the winter they make for a gorgeous shoreline ice walk. Due to our mild weather conditions this year, I was concerned that our photo outing would be met with some disappointment. Much to my surprise, the Lake was not short on ice or snow. The rocks were cover with frozen swells. After some time of photographing the Lake and Shoreline, we decided coffee was a must. At this point my boots and feet were soaked and freezing. Apparently the label lied when it said they were water proofed! Next time I will be sure to trade fashion for comfort. We headed to a little coffee shop on the Oswego river, got our coffee fixes and decided to take some river pictures. I have always loved Oswego river walks. Not only is it pretty all year round, it's a special place for me since I spent many times walking there during my engagement with my now husband. Needless to say I enjoyed capturing a little of its winter beauty, and some good company.
