Precious in Pink

I was so excited to finally have my first ever Newborn shoot this past weekend! The icing on the cake was that it was for a tiny baby girl! I am so glad to finally have a baby girl to add to my portfolio, it's been a long time coming! Photographing her was such an enormous pleasure. She was sweet-beautiful-angelic-perfection which made my job soooo easy. Mom and Dad should be very proud, and I know they are! The only trouble with this is now my baby itch is worse! This time next year I hope to have another little Nichols arriving soon. I absolutely adored this little angel in all shades pink! Let's hear the ooohs and aaaahs ladies!

A Day in the Life of a Photojournalist, Workshop

Be fast, have quick eyes, on the move, take the shot, done, move on.........keep up! That pretty much sums up my recent workshop with photojournalist extraordinaire, Mike Greenlar. When we met in the morning I was given a print out of his assignments for the day. Our first stop was the Regional Market. I was amazed at how quickly he moved through the crowds, choose his spot and then found the perfect subjects to photograph. We followed and Mother with her daughter and friend through the market and after about 45 minutes, it was time to move on to the next assignment.

Next it was on to Big Rig Day at Burnet Park. There were tractor trailers, fire trucks, snowplows, and every other kind of large working vehicle imaginable. They sparkled and shined to loud blasts of horns as kids fulfilled their lifelong dreams, by pretending to drive in the front seats. My ears had a little ring to them by the time we left. After getting a good amount of pictures here we followed Mike to Freedom of Espresso, where we were able to get a behind the scenes look at the final editing and submission process.

I have always found photojournalism interesting, and after getting a taste of it all I can say is LOVE IT! LOVE IT!

My Lifes Loves

I consider myself a very lucky girl. The best parts of me are the two you see here. These pictures were supposed to be of just Noah, but he had a case of the terrible two's after about 15 minutes of being at Thorndon Park. As you can see no smiles! I was glad to finally get some pictures of my boys together, that is not an easy task, BELIEVE ME! I do heart and treasure these priceless moments of them, and I guess we will be trying again soon to get the 18 month pictures done!

Niagara Falls Canada

It has now been five years since my husband and I said I DO. It hardly feels possible that it has been that long. It has been a happy love filled journey and I feel so lucky to be head over heals in love with this amazing man, and also getting to spend every day with my best friend. It dosen't get better than that! For our anniversary we snuck away for the weekend for some much needed rest and relaxing. Life can be downright exhausting at times! We booked a room at Kilpatrick Manor B&B and let me tell you, this place is nothing short of fabulous. We loved everything about it. Our room was luxurious perfection, the house beautiful, and the breakfasts?? Let's just say Kevin's amazing cooking turned us into breakfast snobs! If you're thinking about going to the Falls stay there! You will be so glad you did! Kevin and Nance are spectacular hosts!

There is so much to be loved about Niagara Falls. There are Starbucks on every corner, corny fun activities, food galore, and breathtaking scenery with views! I was in photo heaven the entire weekend. We did the usual mumbo jumbo around Clifton Hill, then spent the majority of the weekend sampling the local festivities and admiring new destination's. We are planning on  making this an annual visit, so come next April you will know where to find us!
